Mission, Vision, Values and Beliefs

Hollywood Community Church exists to make disciples of Jesus who are COMMITTED to their faith, CONNECTED with one another and dedicated to being the heart and hands of Jesus in our COMMUNITY.

As followers of Jesus Christ we live, love and lead in the Gospel so that our actions draw people to Jesus, producing disciples and unleashing them to make Broward County a great place to live, work, worship, serve and raise a family.

The Bible is the foundation for our beliefs, convictions,
and practices.

Generosity flows from our lives out of a love for God, who graciously lavished His love upon us through Jesus Christ, and a love for others. Our lives are marked by generosity as we give faithfully, systematically, and joyfully to the local church to see the Great Commission fulfilled.

Our fellowship must be a place where the lost are found, the rejected are loved, the hungry are fed and the broken-hearted are healed.

We are committed to developing dedicated followers of Jesus Christ. Thus, we will provide avenues of spiritual growth such as Sunday School, Adult Bible Fellowships, Life Groups etc which will offer our people the opportunities to grow in their walk with the Lord.

Christ-followers will be challenged to discover and use their gifts, passions and talents. Upon discovering their gifts, passions and talents, we will encourage our church family to use them build each other up so that we are equipped to live out the good works God has created for us.

Our ministry must be both incarnational and missional. By that we mean that we are the living representatives of Jesus Christ in our community. We commit to extend our ministry outside the borders of the United States by financially supporting missionaries, going on missions trips and partnering with foreign churches.

We believe the Holy Bible was supernaturally inspired by God. It is inerrant and infallible and is the only complete revelation of the will of God to man.

We believe there is only one living and true God who is manifested in three Persons (Trinity). The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are equal in every divine perfection, but distinct in their harmonious offices in the great work of redemption.

We believe that man was created in the image of God and that he gave into temptation, sinned, and fell into a state of condemnation. As a result every human is totally depraved and in need of redemption.

We believe that salvation is provided through Jesus’ perfect life, His sacrificial death on the cross and His glorious resurrection. It is offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In its broadest sense salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

We believe that baptism is one of the first steps of the new believer in Christ. Although it has no saving merit, we believe that a believer should be baptized by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

We believe that those who repent of their sins, and put their trust in Jesus Christ will spend eternity with Jesus. Those who reject Christ will be eternally punished in Hell.

We believe that Hollywood Community Church is an autonomous congregation of baptized believers associated by a covenant of faith and fellowship in the Gospel. The New Testament also speaks of the Church as the Body of Christ, which includes all of the redeemed of all the ages.

We believe that God in His own time and in His own way, will renew the world to its original intended state. According to His promise, Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to forever reign on the earth.
